Three Adoptions In March! |
| 03/10/10 - Our three Mud Boys; Sal, Miracle & Blessed were all adopted this month by a former EPONA volunteer with a farm here in New Hampshire. Their new Forever Home is shared by other horses, dogs. and emus. Thanks so much to all the volunteers who made this possible! | |

Karen Bishop Joins 2010 EPONA Board Of Directors01/28/10 - EPONA is happy to announce that Karen Bishop, owner of Linden Woods Farm Equestrian Center in Durham NH, will on the 2010 board of directors. 11/19/09 - The Party of Gold Fundraiser held on November 19th was not only a blast but a huge success. Everyone walked away with money and when the night was through we'd had one of our most successful fundraisers or the year. Thanks to everyone for coming and helping out!

11/18/09 - On November 18th Jill Grueter and Project Pawsitive came out to E.P.O.N.A. and filmed the final shots of their show. Rev. Economos Angelo Pappas of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church held a Blessing; blessing the barn, the horses, the E.P.O.N.A. program, the volunteers and the community effort. At the closing of the blessing, the E.P.O.N.A. community was surprised with a generous donation from Project Pawsitive, The Home Depot Foundation, Celtic Construction, Drew Davis Stonework, Wacky Jacky’s Consignment Clothing and Davis Landscaping. The donation items included a commercial lawnmower for its fields, a small tractor for moving and towing materials, fifteen bales of hay and several bales of shavings.

11/11/09 - Lucky has lost his sponsor for his medicine. Lucky was rescued from a slaughter pen and came to EPONA with a severe case of strangles. While he recovered, he is afflicted by a degenerative stifle disorder. We need a new sponsor for his medicine. The approximate cost is $50 per week.

09/12/09 - The Poker Run is just around the corner (Sunday September 20th) !If you ride a motorcycle or know someone that does grab them and join us! If you don't ride you can still join us at the final stop (The EPONA Barn ) to greet and congratulate the riders as they come in. We will be serving lunch and snacks and you can visit with our horses. There will also be raffles including the drawing for two RED SOX grand stand tickets.

We are raffling off Two Red Sox tickets. The drawing will be held at the final stop (The EPONA Barn) of the Poker Run on September 20th. You don't need to attend the Poker Run to buy tickets or be present at the drawing to win. The tickets are on sale now and we will notify the winners if they are not at the Poker Run. PUB CRAWL FUNDRAISER
Saturday, April 18th 1 PM - 6 PM Please join us in Downtown Dover, NH for The First Annual Spring Trot Around Town Pub Crawl to benefit the abused and neglected horses at E.P.O.N.A. and Wendell's Wish Therapeutic Riding Program. There will be a Drink and/or Appetizer specials at each location (The Dover Brickhouse, Central Wave, Blue Lattitudes, and Kelley's Row) and your E.P.O.N.A. button is your admission. Make sure to spread the word and invite all your friends and family. It’s sure to be a day filled with lots of surprises, there will be raffles and prizes at each bar we are stopping at and the best part is that all of the money raised will go directly back to the horses at E.P.O.N.A, other horses that need our help, and Wendell's Wish Therapeutic Riding! Open Your Heart to Horses!
At Equine Protection of North America (EPONA), a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that rescues, rehabilitates, and re-adopts abused and neglected horses, there are a number of magnificent rescued equines who are hoping to receive a valentine from you!
In order to raise much-needed funds to supply the horses with grain, hay, bedding, and medications throughout the winter, we are asking for your support! It's EASY to help the horses...
Please choose a horse (or horses!) from the list below. We invite you to send your chosen horse a special valentine card with a $1 donation (of course, the horses will not turn away $5, $20...whatever you would like to share!). It seems like a small amount, but every bit really does go a long way! We will hang the cards each horse receives on their stall door for the Valentine's Day, so you will be adding a bit of love to the horses' home with your valentine card!
