The PokerStars Players Championship (PSPC), which runs alongside the PCA, is right around the corner with the highly anticipated tournament getting underway on January 30, 2023.
Dozens of people from all over the world have already booked their seats at the PSPC by getting their hands on a coveted Platinum Pass, and PokerStars is giving players more chances to secure their spot in the Bahamas with its latest Chest and Ladders promotion, which is set to award seven Platinum Passes.
The promo is up and running until December 11 and is then followed by a freeroll two days later. To get involved in Chest and Ladders, players should head to the “Challenges” tab in the client and opt-in to get started.
How to Play Chest and Ladders
Once you’ve opted into Chest and Ladders, the aim of the game is to collect points that go toward your progress bar. Players earn points by playing real money games and once you’ve filled your progress bar, you’ll be awarded a PokerStars Rewards Chest which then triggers a dice roll animation.
The dice score then determines how many spaces you move along the gameboard.
Like in the traditional snakes and ladders board game, if you land on a space that is the bottom of a ladder, you’ll propel the tile where the ladder ends. If you land on a chest, you’ll get to open it and be rewarded with a prize. Prizes that are up for grabs in Chest and Ladders range from tournament dollars and tickets to a $30,000 valued Platinum Pass package, of which seven will be dished out on the platform.
Players can also earn points by playing on PokerStars Casino as well as making wagers on the site’s sportsbook, which is perfect for fans of the ongoing World Cup.
Anybody who takes part in Chest and Ladders will also be invited to take part in a freeroll that plays out on December 13. As you could probably guess, the top prize in this event is a much sought-after Platinum Pass. Even players who opt into the promo on the last day will still be able to gain entry into the freeroll.
