The Casino Barcelona will be crammed to the brim with poker players from all over the world from May 10-22, such is the lure of the 888poker LIVE tour.
The eagerly anticipated €220 Opening Event starts on May 11 and crowns its champion on May 14. Last year, the Opening Event ended in a four-way chop between a trio of Spaniards and a Frenchman. France’s Jimmy Vert finished fourth for €11,665, Sergio Carrasco was third (€11,715), Manuel Blazquez second (€11,740), and Daniel Baila (€16,580) became the champion.
Those heading to Spain will also be able to get their teeth into a €2,200 High Roller and a €5,300 Super High Roller. Warren Aspey is the reigning champion of the €2,200 High Roller, while a certain Daniel “Jungleman” Cates holds the €5,300 Super High Roller trophy.
