Hot on the heels of the 17th Anniversary Sunday Million, the big brains over at PokerStars are gearing up for another anniversary special as the platform celebrates 12 years of the Sunday Storm on April 16.
The Sunday Storm is a hugely popular low-stakes tournament, as it usually has a $100,000 guarantee for just $11. Despite its low cost, the tournament regularly attracts thousands of players from all over the world, all vying for a share of the prize pool.
Now, to mark the special occasion for the tournament, the April 16 edition of the Sunday Storm is set to be even bigger and better than usual, with a guaranteed prize pool of $700,000. That’s seven times more than normal for the exact same buy-in!
What is the Sunday Storm?
The Sunday Storm is a no-limit hold’em tournament, and the anniversary edition is scheduled for April 16, and will kick off at 2 p.m. ET.
The Sunday Storm Anniversary is coming and there’s a massive $700K guaranteed from an $11 buy-in.
Now this special instalment of the Sunday Storm comes with a twist as it will operate as a Progressive Knockout, which follows the footsteps of the Sunday Million, which permanently changed to a PKO event last year. This means you can start making money long before the money bubble bursts.
The 12th Anniversary Sunday Storm has a late-registration period of 280 minutes, giving players plenty of time to register for one of the best-value events of the year.

How to Qualify on the Cheap
Despite coming with an affordable $11, PokerStars is giving players plenty of opportunities to get into the Sunday Storm on the cheap as PokerStars is offering $75,000 in added-value satellites.
Spin & Go’s
PokerStars is the home of Spin and Go Poker, so it’s no surprise that the platform offers Spin and Go satellites to the Sunday Storm Anniversary, which run on demand.
Spin and Go poker games are three-handed poker tournaments which take minutes to complete, and the cost for these special edition satellites is just $0.50.
Mega Satellites
PokerStars is also hosting mega satellites to the target event, which offer even more value. Two huge mega satellites are pencilled in for Sunday, April 9 and Saturday, April 15, at 3:10 p.m. ET, where 500 seats are guaranteed in each.
The buy-in for the mega satellites is just $1.10, and there will also be freerolls feeding into them.
