Team PartyPoker’s Patrick “Patrick_Leonard” Leonard enjoyed a super Sunday online at PartyPoker after taking down two high-stakes tournaments, including the online poke site’s flagship event, the $150,000 guaranteed Sunday Party.
Leonard triumphed in the Super $320 on April 16, outlasting 101 opponents on his way to collecting $7,983, which included bounties. While marching on to victory in the Super $320, Leonard found himself in the final 15 of the $109 buy-in $150,000 guaranteed Sunday Party.
Some 1,354 players bought into the Sunday Party, leaving a near $15,000 overlay on the $150,000 guarantee, not that any of the player who cashed cared as it meant additional value for them. Day 1 of the Sunday Party ends when only 16 players remain, but the double elimination of “Wuffwuffwuff88” and Leonard’s fellow PartyPoker Pro Matt “MatthewStaples” Staples left only 15 players in the hunt for the title, with Leonard fourth in chips going into Day 2.
Day 2 of the Sunday Party which has to be the best MTT online these days. Great structure, overlay, infinite satel… https://t.co/96xdGgKP8H

Day 2 got underway at 7:05 p.m. BST on April 17, and all eyes were on Leonard. The tournament lost a player early on when “Jake.Paul,” a finalist in the recent Grand Prix Spring Main Event, crashed out. Eventually, only nine players had chips in front of them, each guaranteed more than $1,800 for their efforts when including bounty payments.
“Ghggggg” busted in ninth for $1,821 before “BlueRedJack” and “SixBetShove” fell by the wayside and saw their bankrolls boosted by $2,175 and $2,179, respectively.

Sixth place and $2,602 went to “thatsmaadted.” There was a significant increase in the prize money from that point on, not only because that is how poker tournaments’ prize structures work, but also because each of the remaining five players had accumulated four figures worth of scalps.
“Byblood” bowed out in fifth for $4,312, “Sh0es” was eliminated in fourth for $5,316, with the Sunday Party progressing to the heads-up stage following the untimely demise of “Panipak” in third, a finish good for $8,120.
Leonard locked horns and butted heads with “ScumGame” for the title and the lion’s share of the $150,000 prize pool. Each of the heads-up players locked in more than $9,400 for their impressive deep runs, leaving the now massive final bounty payments to play for. Leonard got the job done and his hands on a $9,290 bounty, taking his total haul to $18,747, leaving ScumGame to head into the night with an $11,927 runner-up payment.
