Another World Series of Poker Circuit (WSOPC) stop has wrapped up with the completion of WSOPC Tulsa, which ran from Aug. 16-27 and consisted of more than a dozen Circuit ring events.
The Circuit stop in Oklahoma culminated with the $1,700 buy-in WSOPC Tulsa Main Event, which drew 397 entrants for a total prize pool of $601,455. The biggest share of that went to Kansas native Mark Barrientos, who won the event for his second Circuit ring and $126,900.
Barrientos, who won his first ring in a $250 buy-in WSOPC Tulsa event in 2019, defeated Oklahoma local Daxton Alexander, who was after his first Circuit ring but finished runner-up for $78,440 and his first WSOP cash.
There were a few well-known faces who made it deep in the WSOPC Tulsa Main Event, including poker commentator Kasey Mills (12th – $8,987) and Angela Jordison (8th – $14,091), who earlier this year was named Breakout Player at the 2022 Global Poker Awards.
