The Newest Horses at E.P.O.N.A. ~ Daisy and Ginger
Daisy and Ginger are the two newest horses at E.P.O.N.A. They came here because their owner was going though foreclosure and could no longer afford to take care of them. Ginger was a little thin but she has since gained weight and is doing well. They both share a pasture together and are very good friends. Ginger is very gentle and loves to be brushed and groomed. Daisy seems to be a good match for Ginger in every way. When I go into her stall I am amazed at how quietly she stands while you brush her. She doesn’t fuss or even move.
Daisy is very curious and it proved a challenge on picture day as you can see in the photos below. Cameras aren’t the only thing that makes her curious though, apparently she loves checking out the barn cat!
When Daisy and Ginger find their forever homes they are going to make some people very happy ( and spread some joy).

Daisy’s behavior during grooming really does boggle my mind - she makes it delightfully clear that she appreciates the care that you’re giving! I only fear that during some session, she’ll relax so drastically as to lay down and sleep on my feet.
Both girls will undoubtably bring a lot of light to the life of their next mommy or daddy. Their personalilites are too magnetic to stay orphaned.

I miss my girls very much. I miss how Daisy use to take her lips and wiggle them against my neck when I was standing in front of her. How she use to pull me closer with her head if I was just standing in front of her stall. How I use to sing the song ‘Daisy Daisy give me your answer true” and if I stopped singing she would shake her head up and down for me to continue. I miss how her winny would come right from the bottom of her belly when she was calling me.
Ginger well she is sweet as sugar and she loves attention and has such a gleam in her eye when she is getting it. She is like a puddle in the palm of you hand and I truly believe she could live right in your living room. I could see her aging but for her age she looks great. With age their bodies change and Im so thankful that Epona has found the right diet for her to make her look so good and God only knows I tried everthing.
Thank you Epona and everyone that volunteers. You truly have been our heros in time of need.
Forever grateful!
