E.P.O.N.A. - Volunteer

There are many opportunities at EPONA for those wishing to donate some of their time and TLC.

Horse CareJoin our dedicated volunteers in providing the best possible care for the rescued horses at E.P.O.N.A.! Daily tasks include grooming all of the horses, escorting them to their spacious paddocks, and mucking stalls. Of course, there is also preparing fine equine cuisine (each horse has a customized breakfast and dinner menu) and administering necessary supplements and medications. Additionally, many horses in our rehabilitation program are often in need of groundwork training and/or extra handling as well!

Barn MaintenanceIf it’s a barn, it’s going to need fixing up! E.P.O.N.A. is always in need of volunteers to assist with everything from tacking up broken fence boards and mending stall doors and fixtures to repairing the water pump! Additionally, general maintenance such as painting, moving the manure pile, and mowing the grass are always on the “to do” list! If you are handy with light construction and repairs, mechanically inclined, or interested in landscaping, we could use your help!

Administration, Development, and Fundraising

We are constantly looking for people interested in fundraising and grant writing, as well as with promotion of our adoptable horses! If you would like to organize and implement a fundraiser to help support E.P.O.N.A., please contact us! We are looking for new board members as well- please contact us if you have fundraising, grant writing, development, and/or promotional experience and would like to discuss joining the E.P.O.N.A. Board of Directors!
